FrontRow is an exciting and vibrant company distributing quality DVD materials to the educational
non-theatrical market throughout Australia and New Zealand. It distributes a high percentage of
Australian documentaries and short films, ensuring filmmakers receive appropriate royalties and
distribution of their work. FrontRow represents the work of many talented and highly respected
Australian and overseas filmmakers, including two Oscar-winning producers.
Given that "education" has an enormously wide meaning and application, distribution is

Attention Producers:
Do you have a program you would like FrontRow to review for non-theatrical distribution?
Programs selected for distribution by FrontRow submitted by producers will need to cover
topics which are relevant to the Australian curriculum, particularly the Curriculum and Standards
Framework II and more recently, the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (incorporating VCAL
and VET), the Victorian version being an accurate reflection of education levels and standards
nationally.
Research and monitoring of education trends throughout Australia is taking place continuously.

Terms:
Terms of Agreement outlining territories and specific marketing strategies and plans are discussed
confidentially once a producer has contacted FrontRow.
Briefly, FrontRow sells the programs on your behalf to the educational non-theatrical market
and you as the Producer/Filmmaker receives a percentage in royalty payments on a
half-yearly basis. Full reports are supplied with each royalty payment. An agreement is then negotiated
and instigated.
Heather Judd is Manager of FrontRow Video Distribution and has extensive experience within
non-theatrical distribution, having worked for a number of Australian educational distributors in
Melbourne, including the Australian Film Institute.
Heather has also worked in the past with the Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) managing the
judging process for the Film, Television and Multimedia ATOM Awards.
Heather maintains a vital interest in both film and multimedia technologies and has a Bachelor of
Arts in Film/Media and Business Management. She is a member of a number of educational and film
associations.
